Yikes! Class 3 already!

Hello there :) I can't believe I've completely missed posting all this time! I apologize for my lateness in updating. All is well and I can't be happier with my progress as a student as Animation Mentor. It has been such an honor having the greatest mentor teaching me how to animate. My class 2 mentor was Nick Bruno, who is a supervising animator at Blue Sky Studios. He was really straight forward with his teaching and I've learned a ton about not only animation and the industry from him. He will be well missed as I move on to my next class :) I have Mr. Jay Davis as a mentor for class 3, he is a super talented animator who's worked on Hell Boy : The Golden Army and many more great films. There is never a dull moment with him. I look forward in learning from him and having some great laughs XD So stay tuned for more of my progress! Here is what I've done so far, enjoy and thanks for reading :)

Jackie Chan Contest Entry

I'm really excited about this one. Jackie Chan has a contest where fans can create original art pieces about him and his beloved stuffed panda bears. There will be 3 winners from 3 different age groups. I hope I win because the prize is an autographed portrait of Jackie Chan! Cross my fingers :)

Class1 is over, Class 2 starts Jan 3rd!

Hello, sorry I haven't been keeping up with my posts. I was very busy with all the animation assignments, and I have to say, it was a lot of fun learning and experimenting. I'm sad that class 1 is over, but very excited and looking forward to another wonderful class. So below is my Animation Mentor Class 1 Progress Reel, enjoy!

Class 1, week 3 at Animation Mentor!

Hi guys! I had sooo much fun this week doing my homework. We had to pose Stu to express excitement and do an animation of a basic bouncing ball that has the weight of a basketball or a soccer ball. We learned about timing and spacing and how to make things look believable. I got a lot of great feedback from my fellow AMers, it was great to have their support. I honestly think my animation improved tremendously because of those comments, so thanks guys!

Week 2 of Class 1 at Animation Mentor!

This week we had to go out and sketch people in random poses, and translate that in to the character named "Stu". I was very excited for our 1st real assignment and I think I did pretty good :) It was very cool to get my 1st critique from my mentor Shaun Freeman. He is very awesome! It's only going to get better :D
